PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervises activities related to internal and external accountability/assessment

    SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Supports the development, execution, and analysis of college- and program-level internal assessment plans
  • Represents the college on WKU’s Outcomes Assessment Team
  • Coordinates the completion of the annual Title II and AACTE Professional Education Data System (PEDS) reports

2. Supervises unit-wide NCATE continuing accreditation efforts

    SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Supports the development and execution of the unit-wide assessment system
  • Serves as the liaison between education programs and the electronic accountability system development team
  • Supports the collection and organization of NCATE-related electronic documentation on the college website and in the Document Management System
  • Supports the development and updating of WKU’s education professional preparation program folios for the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB)
  • Assists education preparation programs with developing annual progress reports for program improvement
  • Creates and presents the unit-wide assessment system annual report for unit improvement
  • Serves as the NCATE coordinator and represents the college at state and national level NCATE-related events

3. Supervises grant activity within the college

    SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Oversees the responsibilities of the college grants administrator
  • Supports collaborative research efforts within and outside the college

4. Supervises research conducted within the college

    SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Supports the development and implementation of college-wide thesis/specialist project guidelines
  • Serves as final reviewer of college theses/specialist projects
  • Represents the college at state, regional, and national research meetings/collaborations (AACTE, AERA, Edvantia, MSERA)
