Army Physical Fitness Test
Spring 2007

The Army Physical Fitness Test consists of three events used to assess endurance, strength, and sheer willpower. It is a simple way to measure a Soldier's ability to move his or her body by using a few major muscle groups and the cardio-respiratory system. This event, while physically demanding, allows a cadet to be assessed for future training, while meeting and exceeding all army performance standards. The event consists of 2 minutes of pushups, 2 minutes of sit-ups and a 2 mile run.
