- Tess McKinley (Student Affairs), currently the Office Coordinator of the Career Services Center, was awarded a $1000 scholarship by the Kentucky Association for Cooperative Education and Career Employment. The scholarship is given to a student who is pursuing a degree in human resources, career services, or related field.
- LiDell Evans (Student Affairs), and his assigned partner, Brandy Riedel from Texas A&M University, won first place in the Case Study competition held as part of the annual American College Personnel Association (ACPA) conference, March 2001, in Boston, Massachusetts.
- Sally Jackson (Student Affairs), and her assigned partner, Lisa Wertz from the University of Florida, won first place in the Case Study competition at the annual Southern Association of College Student Affairs (SACSA) conference, November 2000, in Savannah, Georgia. Sally has also been accepted into the Ph.D. program in Higher Education Administration at Bowling Green State University; she will begin her doctoral work in the fall of 2001.
