Contracting
2007
All great journeys begin with a single step and contracting is no different. Students who decide to accept the army as a career, enter into a world of limitless opportunities, which will develop them as leaders and as members of the community at large. By raising their right hand, a cadet accepts responsibility to honor those who have sacrificed before them and to uphold the Army values.

Freshman 4-yr scholarship winner, Cadet Gavin Hill, from Muhlenberg South High School, holds his 2nd Lieutenant gold bars while LTC Mark Powell speaks about him.

LTC Powell now swears Mr. Hill in for his Army ROTC scholarship.

Cadet Hill is yet another freshman to take the step.

He will hold these bars again in 2011.

Mr. Hill sets his 2LT rank into the commissiong case. These gold bars will be pinned on Gavin in four years, once he is commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. Congratulations Mr. Gavin Hill!

LTC Mark Powell swears in Cadet Cody LaChappelle. Mr. LaChappelle is a scholarship nurse cadet who recently transferred from Florida College.

Mr. LaChappelle receives his gold bars from LTC Powell, so he can place them in the commissioning case. Mr. LaChappelle will be commissioned as a 2LT in the Army Nurse Corps once he graduates in 2010.

Cadet Rivera was an active member in ROTC even before he contracted.
