Welcome from the Dean

As a college, our success is based on the hard work and commitment of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. The approval of the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership by the Council on Postsecondary Education exemplifies how we can meet the needs of individuals and agencies throughout the region and the larger educational community with the hard work of numerous individuals. In addition to the expanded opportunities for students that will occur with the beginning of the doctoral program this coming August, there will be increased opportunities for elementary teachers to complete their master’s degrees through an on-line program beginning Fall 08. Both of these programs will significantly change the culture of the college and the work in which we are engaged as a “leading American university with international reach.” Many of you have contributed to these specific initiatives as well as other initiatives in the college and your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Dr. Sam Evans, Dean
